Ms. Jones in First Grade

 

My name is Crystal Denise Jones. I Grew up in Bronx, NY and have lived in Virginia, Maryland, Stuttgart, Germany, Georgia, and I currently reside in South Carolina. I have been teaching for eight years. I graduated from Augusta State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I embrace teaching as an opportunity to inspire and impower. As a teacher, it is my goal to enhance student learning as a transforming experience. I want students to feel changed by their time spent in the classroom. I let my students know that they don't have to become products of their environment and that the key to success in through education.

I have two beautiful children, a daughter, Brandi, 18 who just graduated from highschool and was #25 on Hartsville High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team; and a son, Justin, 11 who wants to play basketball and the drums like his big sister.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, decorating, sewing, traveling, reading, and my new found love is building my website.
