J.U.N.G.L.E. Book

J.U.N.G.L.E. is an acronym for Just an Ultimate Notebook to Get Learners Excited.

What is the J.U.N.G.L.E Book?

• It is a 3 ring binder that holds EVERYTHING students and parents need to keep up-to-date with what is going on at school.
  
• Gone are the days of wrinkled papers, and lost notes, newsletters, or homework. No more searching the house to find paper in order to write a note to school. Everything you need is in one notebook!!!

• Jungle books are important! They help to establish good organizational skills-----skills that can carry on throughout their time in school.
• Encourage your child to become more independent by being responsible for putting his/her J.U.N.G.L.E. Book in his/her bookbag every night before going to bed.  This will mean a calm and relaxed commute to school and a confident first grader who will be prepared to start the day off right. 

  
  Items you will find in the J.U.N.G.L.E. Book

• Zipper Pouch

  Please send in lunch money, field trip, or fund raiser money in this pouch. Put all money in a labeled envelope with your child’s name, and what the money is for. Nothing else is to go in this pouch!!!

  This gives a quick look at what all is included in the notebook.

• Jungle Book Rules

  This explains all of the “Do’s” and “Don’t” Rules of the notebook.

• The Jungle Beat

  This is our class newsletter which is passed out every Monday to students. It is the student’s responsibility to place the newsletter in the notebook.

• Homework Folder

  This is where homework will be kept. lease help your child remember to put homework back in this folder when finished.

• On the “Return to School” side will be your child’s nightly homework and behavior log. You will also find on this side important notices that need to be returned back to school.

• On the “Leave at Home” side will contain papers and checked homework that should not be returned to school. Please check and remove items daily.

• Home/School Communication Folder

  This folder will be used to transport graded student work and test scores. It will be sent home every Friday and must be returned on Monday.
